Founder’s story
From a pandemic to new hope
Behind the name Montana Machine is the journey of a young man, Alexander Jordan, who built everything from the ground up. In 2022 the pandemic hit his family’s heavy equipment rental business. At 18, he watched the family business collapse while carrying a sizeable debt, and chose to rise again.
Alex went straight to the field: cleaning the units for sale himself, repairing them with his own hands, and holding to one principle: a buyer must never be disappointed. When capital was still tight, he delivered spare parts to customers one by one in a pickup truck. The proceeds of every deal were reinvested to rebuild trust.
He was inspired by Meitaro Takeuchi, the founder of Komatsu, who believed business is not only about profit but about creating value for others. Montana Machine was born from that belief: selling heavy equipment as the start of a long-term partnership, not just a transaction.
