Privacy policy.

What data we collect through this site, why, who else processes it, and how you can ask for your data to be changed or deleted. This is a translation; if it differs from the Indonesian version, the Indonesian version prevails.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by PT Montana Indo Utama (“Montana Machine”, “we”), an importer of used ex-Japan heavy equipment located at Jl. Nasional III No.88, Pejuritan, Kec. Karanganyar, Kab. Kebumen, Jawa Tengah 54364. We act as the controller of the personal data you provide through this site, in accordance with Indonesian Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection (PDP Law).

2. Data we collect

We only collect the data you send us yourself and the technical data needed to run the site securely:

  • Quote request form: buyer type (company or individual), name, company name, email (optional), WhatsApp number, the unit requirements you write, and the address of the page the form was sent from.
  • IP address: stored temporarily for 10 minutes to limit the number of form submissions and prevent spam, then deleted automatically.
  • Chat conversations: the messages and data you type in the chat window (Mekari Qontak).
  • Technical server data: standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages opened, and access time) recorded by the server for security and troubleshooting. [to be confirmed: how long server logs are kept]

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we do not ask for sensitive data such as ID card numbers or financial data through the site.

3. How we use the data

  • To reply to your quote request, including the price, shipping cost, and a schedule to view the unit.
  • To contact you via WhatsApp, phone, or email about the unit you asked about.
  • To keep a record of requests (request number) so follow-ups are not missed.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse of the form.

The legal basis for processing is the consent you give when you submit the form or start a chat, as well as steps you request before entering into a sale and purchase agreement with us.

4. Third-party services

Some site features use services from other parties, which may process data under their own privacy policies:

  • Mekari Qontak: the live chat window. Your chat messages and data are processed by Qontak.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): measures page visits and viewed units for Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may receive your IP address, browser data, and the pages you open, and sets its own cookies.
  • Google Maps: the office location map on the contact page. Google may receive your IP address and browser data when the map loads.
  • YouTube: unit videos, loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (when enabled): anti-spam checks on the form.
  • Hosting provider of the servers that run this site and our internal systems.

5. Storage and security

Quote request data is stored in our internal system and can only be accessed by the team handling sales and customer service. Connections to this site are encrypted (HTTPS).

We keep quote request data for [to be confirmed: retention period, e.g. 2 years after the last request], or longer when required by law (for example for transaction documents). After that, the data is deleted or anonymized.

6. Cookies and browser storage

This site uses Meta Pixel to measure ads (cookies set by Meta, see section 4). The Qontak chat window stores a widget identifier and chat session in browser storage (localStorage) so your conversation stays connected. The third-party services above may set their own cookies when loaded.

You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings.

7. Your rights

Under the PDP Law, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about the personal data we process about you, and receive a copy.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask for your data to be deleted, or for its processing to stop.
  • Withdraw the consent you have given.
  • Object to or file a complaint about the processing of your data.

8. Changes to this policy
